What I Do
My role is currently to provide home visits to patients at 4 surgeries across the primary care network for patients who are housebound or otherwise unable to attend the surgery. I triage, carry out assessments & treat acute conditions & illnesses.
How I Support Patients
I previously worked for the North East Ambulance Service working on Emergency Care Ambulances, before qualifying as a Paramedic from Teesside University in 2017. I advanced to work on the Rapid Response Vehicle in 2019. Although I attended emergency incidents, I also worked increasingly alongside primary care with GPs, district nurses & palliative care teams, which is where my interest in primary care developed.
